So titled because looking towards Catbells I noticed this bloke in his Paraglider hovering around the route up from the northern end. His hovering made it look so easy yet I know it’s not because about 4 hours earlier I had left my car at just before 3am and made the arduous ascent up that route to catch sunrise from the top looking back 180 degrees to this very point – my thighs are still recovering.

Looking back towards Catbells with the dappled light dancing on the landscape, the only noise to be heard is the distant buzz of the Paraglider’s engine as he rises to the top of Skelgill Bank.
