Light Over the Langdales

A welcome burst of light over the beautiful little Blea Tarn, nestled in Little Langdale, Lake District.

Making the trudge up Birk Knott to get to a raised vantage point, I was being eaten alive by the Lakeland Midges. Every now and again the sun kept making an appearance beyond Bow Fell and casting its rays on the ground around Blea Tarn, making the hike [and the nibbling] worthwhile.

This particular shot was taken at the highest vantage point I’d set out to reach.
