Squall Onset at Elgol

Another heavy squall envelopes the Cuillins before making its way across Loch Scavaig to my vantage point on the shoreline at Elgol.

After waiting out the previous heavy rain shower it looked unlikely that I was going to see any sunlight on this particular visit to Elgol, Isle of Skye, but fortunately a small gap in the clouds allowed the sunlight to break through and light up the edges of the Cuillins across Loch Scavaig.

Occasions like this are what makes me enjoy landscape photography and nature in general. Perseverance is a necessary trait if you wish to capture the best light.
